The cast of The Good Daughter has been expanded and a substitute for Jessica Biel in the next Peacock drama series has been found.
Meghann Fahy and Rose Byrne will both be starring in the project, according to a new THR story. Fahy is said to be playing the character that Biel was initially supposed to play. Biel was linked to the series when it was revealed earlier this year, but she left the project in September for unspecified reasons.
Regarding The Good Daughter, what do we know?
Karin Slaughter, the author of the novel that serves as the basis for The Good Daughter, will also write each episode of the television show. Earlier this year, Peacock awarded the film a straight-to-series order. It tells the tale of two sisters, Samantha Quinn (Byrne) and Charlotte (Fahy), who are recovering from an incident that happened decades ago when they are both thrown into another mystery by an attack in their little village.
Byrne most recently starred in the comedy-drama Ezra, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, and 2023’s Insidious: The Red Door. Her future projects include a part in Stephanie Laing’s drama Tow and a role in the comedy-drama If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. Fahy’s most well-known performance was in season two of the popular HBO series The White Lotus.
